= cumulative # of former members, mentors & coaches, programme members, Makers (staff), persons worked with via partners and event participants.

Social Media

= total # of current followers in all channels

Media Audience

= # people who read publications we have produced (i.e. downloads, specific distribution), viewers or listeners of media (i.e. videos, podcasts). Estimate those who we genuinely reached not mass audience.

Policy Makers

= # people impacted from our policy or advocacy work with/for the public sector, since start of this year

Indirect Benificiaries

= those impacted by our Members i.e. recipients/customers of their services/products - added via the Global Member Survey

The Counter captures our community segments along the layers of the 'onion’, extending beyond just paying members and programme participants as in the annual survey.

This annual Global Counting Month will lead up to the yearly Impact Report release. There is an algorithm to allocate some groups across different layers and to account for potential duplications.

Our 2023 count serves as a new baseline. To understand the definitions, hover over the small 'i' next to each community segment on the input page; some are cumulative to ensure we capture Impact Makers whom we have already engaged and influenced.
